Profile

I found Rolfing some years ago when I had SI joint challenges that had me hopping around in pain after every yoga practice. A chiropractor I had been seeing referred me to a structural integrator when I found no relief from other forms of bodywork. I was fascinated by how a Rolfer looked at my body movements and was able to help me bring more awareness to compensatory patterns I had developed when I suffered a low back injury in college. The discomfort I was constantly in and the microdiscectomy I had left me stiff in my lumbars and pelvis.

It was such a dramatic change to feel freedom of movement in those areas. It was like I had regained a part of my body back into my body. I felt lighter and more upright with each session. Sometimes, I wasn't quite able to put into words the changes that were going on as my Rolfer had me walking up and down the room and doing knee bends, but I was thrilled at the possibilities that my body was open to.

Knowing what a difference it made in me, I wanted to able to share this experience with others. I spent a good portion of my life in product marketing and decided it was the right time for me to start giving back to the community in a field I am passionate about.

I love to be active - ski, tennis, yoga, kayak, rock climb, ballroom dance, occasionally you may catch me on the driving range - and understand how restrictions and injuries can hold us back from doing things we enjoy that make up a large part of our lives. Even simple activities like spending time with family and friends can become such an effort when we're not feeling connected in our bodies.

I'm a licensed and practicing Rolfer in Orange County, CA. I studied Shiatsu, orthopaedic massage, lymphatic drainage, and continue to further my training in craniosacral work, structural integration and visceral manipulation. I also certified as a NASM personal trainer so that my clients can benefit from a workout program that could support their continued growth and change in their body during and after the ten series. I highly recommend trying out a couple of sessions with a Rolfer in your area!
